The fulfillment insurance and public contracting

In its first part, the book deals with the offering of a general view of the insurance contract, highlighting its definition, essential elements,  parts which intervene in its formalizing;  duties and obligations of the parties - amongst others.

The second part of the work, deals with the explaining of the fulfillment insurance. There, it is intended to state precisely the differences between the fulfillment insurance and the surety contract.

In its third part, analysis of this contractual aspect - within the ambit of public contracting- is presented.  There, the aspect of the fulfillment insurance, is presented as a tool which     has allowed the protecting of public means invested in the execution of State contracts.  The normative and historical antecedents of the fulfillment insurance, are explained, as well as the demanded protections for the fulfillment insurance in the public contracting ambit.

Following, analysis of what disasters are, is carried out; and, afterwards, Doctors Mendoza-Vargas and García-Echeverry state concepts about State Contracting in     Colombia, with the including of comments related to the recent reforms carried out for this system.
